I am proud to be a member of the OpenBionics Initiative. OpenΒionics is an open-source initiative for the development of affordable, highly functional robot hands and prosthetic devices. Their simple design allows for easy reproduction using off-the-shelf materials in a low cost and can be easily modified to serve various different tasks.

In the following video you can see the robot hands in action, efficiently grasping a wide variety of everyday life objects, demonstrating the potential of their application in many different challenging areas. These may include autonomous grasping and teleoperation/telemanipulation applications as parts of robot arm-hand systems, humanoids, mobile and aerial vehicle platforms.
